JULÄINE is an injectable collagen bio-activator made in Sweden. It is not a hyaluronic acid filler, so it does not add volume on the day it is placed. It carries uniform lactic acid microspheres, held in even suspension by the manufacturer's LASYNPRO technology so that they integrate evenly through the treated area. The work happens over the months that follow, not in the mirror on the way out.
The product is intended for the correction of mild to severe nasolabial folds. That is the indication its own patient literature states, and it is the one this page describes. Anything wider is a matter for the plan you agree with your practitioner, not a claim made for the product.

Once placed, the microspheres give the skin a physical signal that activates fibroblasts, the cells that build collagen. The manufacturer describes this as a low inflammatory route to collagen production. The microspheres are then broken down and absorbed, and what stays behind is your own new collagen rather than the product itself.
The plan is short. A maximum of three sessions, two to four weeks apart, with the number decided by your practitioner rather than sold as a fixed course. Some people need one, some need all three, and that judgement is made at your consultation rather than in advance.
This is also the limit of the treatment, and it is worth saying plainly. If you want a visible change this week, a hyaluronic acid filler is the better conversation to have. JULÄINE suits someone content to wait a few months for a result their own skin has built.
Skin quality and glow improve soon after treatment, and many patients describe a feeling of skin tightening within the first few weeks. The cosmetic result appears progressively between two and four months for most people, continues to improve over about twelve months, and lasts over a year in many patients.
The side effects named in the patient leaflet are redness, short lived pain and short lived bleeding at the needle site. These generally settle within a few days. If a side effect occurs, contact your practitioner without delay.
Aftercare is given to you by Dr Osman Bashir Tahir at the appointment and follows the plan agreed for your skin, so follow that rather than a general rule found elsewhere. What each visit involves is set out in our patient journey.

JULÄINE is £1,300 per session at Halcyon Medispa and is offered with Dr Osman Bashir Tahir only, as our price list shows. Your consultation fee is redeemable against your treatment: £200 with Dr Osman Bashir Tahir, or £100 with our aesthetic physician. The number of sessions, up to a maximum of three, is agreed with him rather than fixed before he has seen your skin.
